@Jake I’m so glad your memories of him were so wonderful – I wish I could have met Dime. He truly did touch the lives of metal fans worldwide. The whole thing was an absolute tragedy.

I am fortunate enough to have met Dime on many occasions. His attitude and love for his fans and friends was endless. Working at a strip club(in dallas) he used to visit with Vinny I would treat them as royalty. He was so humble and down to earth often times giving me the remainder of his joint before he went in. I will always remember him and my son who was born Aug 20 ,2009 will no doubt know that he shares a birthday with one of the best musicians/humans that ever lived. I hope Rita knows how much we all love him and how much we truly miss his smile.

I still cannot stp thinking about Dime and how he was killed. It saddens me to this day that it was for nothing. RIP Dime, you sure have given me inspiration in my own guitar playing.
You were a hell of a metal god and I love you brother.

Thanks so much for writing this, I was getting really bummed seeing absolutely nothing about Dimebag online today (or on TV). I actually did wear a Pantera shirt to work today, too. :)
