Christchurch earthquake
A huge Steff Metal Up the Irons! to
\m/ how everyone down south and NZers around the country have stepped up to help those affected by the Cantebury earthquake (and thank you for all your concerned emails! I’m fine – the earthquake was in the South Island, and I’m up the top of the North – and none of my family / friends have been injured or made homeless) \m/ new and exciting writing projects \m/ looking forward to Saturday – friends over for a jam, then I’m cooking roast dinner for six people, then we’re going to birthday drinks for another friend, then the final Heavy Artillery gig at the Thirsty Dog (makes up for missing Mayhem. Boo :() \m/ learning how to tell people I’m blind in German \m/ my current playlist, consisting of Rebellion, Daemonicium, Die Apokalipschen Rieter and the new Grinderman album \m/ a storm the size of Australia scheduled to hit New Zealand this weekend (how to you schedule a storm? “Gale-force winds, I’ll just pencil you in, because my meeting with the fuck-off-grey clouds might run overtime” \m/ “the chase is afoot!” – our 13yr old cat has decided she is a kitten again \m/ Nick Cave – have I mentioned recently how beautiful he is? \m/ the very creepy NZ TV show “This is not my life”. So clever on such a small budget. Almost as good as Outrageous Fortune. If you want to watch an episode, go here \m/ Blackadder \m/ the way every store in NZ has sold out of emergency supplies \m/ my epicly awesome apple pie (recipe here – seriously, you all have to try it) \m/ \m/ the “100 cats loose in IKEA” advert \m/ an epic FIGHT to the death word-count competition with two friends in November (we’re all doing Nano, but we’re trying to beat each other) \m/
