Hazmat – with Stormforge, Just One Fix, and Skulls – 8 March, Kings Arms Auckland

Brutal Tunes, Concerts & Grog Fests

Hatmat are coming to Auckland.

Hatmat are coming to Auckland.

This Saturday night I’ll be at the Kings Arms watching my husband’s band Skulls open for Hazmat on the Auckland leg of their NZ tour. They will be filming a music video, so the more people that come, the more popular they’ll look (so please come!) With a lineup of some of Auckland’s finest acts before the main event, you’re in for a sweet night.

Don’t know who Hazmat are? That’s OK, neither did I till this show was announced. Turns out, Hazmat are an Australian Thrash Metal band with a raw style, which to me echoes tones of early Megadeth. I love the vocals on the tracks I’ve heard online, and am keen to see if they maintain the intensity of the thrash sound live. Their debut self titled album has sold well both in Australia and abroad and has received extensive airplay internationally. The band are currently in pre-production for their new album Atonement for which they have released a single and film clip by the name of THE HANGING TREE.

Check out more for these guys on their Facebook page.

Details on the Facebook event. Tickets $10 from UndertheRadar, and I presume there will be door sales. And, as always, if you see me, come and say hi.
