Linking Horn: New Links on the Block

Linking Horn, Steff

My life is CRAZY right now – if you knew what was going down, you’d be shouting, “Go away, Steff! Stop worrying about your wee blog and get back to RL – it needs you!” I’m sure there is a cheesy pop song about how love can’t tear us apart … ANYWAY, I am here – hello! – and writing up a Linking Horn, which I haven’t done in ages, so you’ve got a few things to read while I am hanging out not updating and writing reviews and answering my advice column.

New corset!

Also, if you have emailed me in the last couple of months, you should hopefully be getting a reply this week. I’ve killed 200 emails over the last few days, only 80 to go …

Oculus Infernus – my new favourite metal blog – written by the notorious Prof D. Grover the XIIIth (formally of The Number of the Blog). This is NOT TNotB 2, but is shaping up to be possibly even better. See some of my favorite recent articles: Ruminations: In Which the Professor Reflects on the Past and Future Works of Sweden’s WitchcraftDiscoveries: The Devil’s Music in the Land of Saints and Scholars and Ruminations: In Which Dr. Black Relates the Journey to the Tree of Life.

Over on SixNoises is an excellent review of the new EP from Exordium Mors – Sacrfice, Perish and Demise. I’m hoping to review this sometime soon myself.

Andy Synn has music recommendations for Gojira fans – Gojira Alternatives.

Nicol Vizioli photography – wow.

Also, if I had money right now, I’d be buying many of the items in the new Vessel to Venus collection from Sisters of the Black Moon.

The SCP foundation. Love this.

Loved this post on NCS by Islander – Great Album – Shame about the Artwork.

The 7 Most Terrifying Archaeological Discoveries.

Eat Your Heart Out – edible creations Not Safe For Work.

27 Essential Texts about Paganism for Your Bookshelf: probably a very good place to get started if you’re interested.

John Scalzi on his fictional life. I liked what he said about wondering what it’s like to meet him or read his books for the first time. I know I come across a lot different in my words than I do in real life – I’m very shy, although if I’m with friends I’m less so. It must be weird having so many fans and so many doppelgangers, as he calls them.

There’s a lot of people thinking about online vs real life this week – the RL Fetish is an interesting read.

(review hopefully coming soon!)
