I’m up to 10 campaigns backed on Kickstarter so far, and every month I see more awesome people doing wicked shit on the platform (I’m planning my own campaign for later this year – watch this space!) When I see campaigns that might interest you guys, I feel it’s only my duty to share them here. So, check out these two new campaigns I’m following:
Heavy Metal Ninjas are EUROPEBOUND
The Heavy Metal Ninjas, an amazing ninja instrumental metal band from NZ, have been added to the bill of EUROBLAST Fesitval in Germany, and they need help to get there. As you know, New Zealand and Germany are quite far apart, so getting five guys and their gear over is a pretty epic ninja mission. On Kickstarter, you can help the Heavy Metal Ninjas get to Europe.
Awesomely, thanks to fan support, the Ninjas have reached their $5,000 funding goal, but the more money they have, the less money they have to pull out of the ninja coffers. $10 will get you a digital copy of their 2011 EP, and $20 will get you a digital copy of their album Interstellar Abduction (Warner Music), which is described as, “a combination of beautiful symphonic arrangements, eery space-themes and out of this world guitar work, utilising 6, 7, and 8 string guitars.” There are heaps of other cool rewards, including ninja hoodies (kickstarter exclusive), posters, albums, music lessons from band members, and the opportunity to have one of the ninjas contribute music to your own tracks.
Cthulhu Chew: The Teether That Should Not Be
Now, I am a fan of all things Lovecraft, so you’d better believe I’m backing this little guy. I love his little bulbous head!
All of Helles Teeth toys are made from food grade silicone and are BPA, phthalate, lead, PVC and latex free. They’ve been coloured with completely non-toxic colourants, dishwasher and microwave safe, and have no detachable parts for safety. Sarah’s got lots of great rewards including Cthulhu Chews, Viking Chews, Onesies and bibs. Cute!
If you are, or know of someone running a kickstarter campaign you reckon I’d like, feel free to shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I might be able to feature it on the blog!
